Keep it positive, Bob, Portland's Two Biggest Fans might be reading this and then how would you feel? Bad, is how.

Also I thought when I saw it live from my vantage directly behind him, that Nash's goal was a deflection. None of the replays help me confirm this.

Yes the Timbers looked OK and had some nice buildup and a couple good chances, but fuck sake it's getting tiresome seeing a zero next to our name on the scoreboard.

All in all though Vancouver was a blast. Could have used a few more old timers up there (Bob, Dr. Bickle, et al.) but it was a superb time front to back (result notwithstanding).

@C. Haddock: huh?

It was a pretty entertaining match, at least from the comfort of my laptop at home. I continue to really like Nishimura's pace and passing, though I'd like to see Scot Thompson before the 90th minute. All in all, not a terrible day out, but when you get one sterling chance and don't finish it, this tends to be the result.

As far as Timbers-Whitecaps matches go, it *was* good entertainment, and Keita might've had a hat trick if he hadn't been so surprised to find the ball at his feet inside the 6-yard box. Several lovely build-ups by the Timbers, as well: Haynes and Nishimura are a cut above what we've seen in recent years as passers on the deep wings.

Not even Tony Meloa could have saved that shot from Martin Nash.

Hermaphrodite's comment is sheer brilliance. Really, a wonderful commentary on Portland supporters culture. In between giving your mother cunnilingus and burying yourself beneath your comfort pillow, how do you find the time to publish such superb commentary?

thanks Roberto. Sounds like you had a pretty good view of the pitch from your bar stool. Portland's Two Biggest Fans(tm) carpooled to the match.
