Bryan Jordan makes them swoon in Hong Kong

By: Bob Kellett | March 14th, 2008

Remember when Bryan Jordan was an unknown trialist from Oregon State just hoping to make the Portland Timbers roster? That was soooooo 2007. The young lad had himself a nice rookie season, got invited to train with the LA Galaxy and earned himself a trip to Asia where he found out what it is like to be David Beckham. If the Timbers want him back this season they might need to hire some of those women to hang outside the locker room after each game.

There are no news bits in the papers this morning and the closest I am getting to PGE Park today is paying my PGE bill, so I’m forced to go with a team press release that reminds one and all that individual game tickets are on sale on Saturday. If you show up you can also get a discount on the super expensive stuff that is sold in the official team gear shop. I wear a large for those of you wondering what to buy me as a wedding present.

Don’t expect much or any action in this corner of cyberspace this weekend. I will be blissfully away from computer connectivity. I’ll be back next week and I hope to make it down to the stadium for a couple practices so that we can sort out some of these trialists and learn a few of the names we will be chanting a month from now.

Be well, my friends.

So I click on the Timbers logo on the main page to see which beer drinking lout, that I might have met at The Bullpen, was captain of this ship and imagine my genuine surprise when I saw it was you Bob! Welcome back mate!

It’s good to see the three letters of your name somewhere on this site. As an old timer – they’ve been missed.

I have a legitimate question for you though — do you know when single game tickets go on sale for the opener?

Nick, tickets go on sale Saturday so I am assuming that means you can get a ticket for the opener then.

    Cheers
