Nine Portland Timbers Games Televised during 2008 Season

Fox Sports Northwest announced the Portland Timbers games it will show this season. All five games will be at home, which means you can come home after the game and piece together all the things you missed after a night of imbibing at the park while listening to the melodic voice of Bobby Howe imploring the lads to use more of the long ball. Combined with the four games that will be shown on Fox Soccer Channel - 3 of which are on the road, hooray! - that makes nine out of 30 regular season games that will be shown on television. Not too bad. You can, of course, watch all the games on USL Live too for a fee.

Here are the games you’ll want to look extra pretty for:

May 24 vs. Vancouver, 7 p.m. - Fox Sports Northwest
May 30 at Montreal Impact, 5 p.m. - Fox Soccer Channel
June 12 vs. Atlanta, 7 p.m. - Fox Sports Northwest
June 27 at Carolina Railhawks, 5 p.m. - Fox Soccer Channel
July 10 vs. Puerto Rico, 7 p.m. - Fox Sports Northwest
Aug. 7 vs. Seattle Sounders, 8 p.m. - Fox Soccer Channel
Aug. 16 vs. Montreal, 7 p.m. - Fox Sports Northwest
Sept. 4 vs. Miami, 7 p.m. - Fox Sports Northwest
Aug. 22 at Vancouver Whitecaps, 8 p.m. - Fox Soccer Channel
