One more day to kick off!

Yesterday was media day at PGE Park. Work commitments kept me away. Allison Andrews of Soccer City USA fame has the shots of the media getting their shots and I see that The 107 Report was there so expect some audio from Bruce sometime in the coming days. Donald also posted some shots of the lads on Flickr. If he weren’t bigger than me and if I hadn’t seen how he can kick opponents around, I’d probably mention to Cameron Knowles that the bald look is not very becoming on him.
The Columbian has its season preview of the Timbers with everyone talking about how this year’s team has great chemistry and a similar work ethic to what we saw in 2007. If that turns out to be the case then we will be blessed again this year.
Not that you, fair reader, need any incentive to go to Portland Timbers games at PGE Park, but if your friends need a little nudge you can tell them about the 2008 promotions.
A 6′4″ defender from New Zealand. That sounds like exactly the type of player that Gavin Wilkinson would go after. Not that the Timbers need another big body in the backline this year, but would it really surprise you if Andrew Boyens ends up in Portland sometime in the future?
Speaking of new players arriving in Portland, there is a good chance that a new player will be officially announced today….
