Pardon the Interruption
By: Bob Kellett | May 22nd, 2008
I’m getting married this weekend so I’m going to put this blog into hibernation mode until Tuesday. While I am off doing my thing, you, fair reader, are tasked with the following:
1. Help the Timbers celebrate a 6-point weekend.
2. Determine the location of the prison cell where Chris Agnello currently resides.
3. Create a YouTube video showing every goal ever scored by Chugger Adair
4. Figure out a way that I can erase the 11,138 minutes of my life spent watching a certain #11 play midfield for the Portland Timbers (copious amounts of vodka have not done the trick).
5. Collect all the loose change from under your couch cushions and donate it to the Merritt Paulson MLS Expansion Fund.
See you on the other side.

If you feel like cutting loose before The Big Day, we’ll be at the Triple Nickel tonight for the MLS game. I know you will be there!
But seriously, congratulations Bob!

Congrats Bob. **preparing myself for “weekly” posts as opposed to current “daily” posts from Bob**
Seriously, I’m thinking of starting a blog about “The married Timbers supporter: How to have your cake and eat it too” sort of thing.
(More of like a “self-help/complaint/rant” sort of thing)
Let me know if you think it will sell.
The Don makes it work.

May your wedding present be a Timbers championship!
I can’t believe you scheduled your wedding on a weekend with two Timbers games….(okay I’m really not kidding, maybe that is why I am not the one getting married..hmmm)
Congrats and all that. Have fun.

I think a “How to Stay Married to a Timbers Army Faithful” blog and support group makes more sense. TA are are mental and barmy, you know.
Tara and I got hitched a month after the first USL Timbers home match. By the end of season I’m sure she wished:
1) The City and Portland Family Entertainment never renovated Civic Stadium and brought the back the Timbers; the occasional baseball game was good enough for her. And/or…
2) I never met Nevets; the beer garden was good enough for her. And/or…
3) Maybe moving to Bend to be with me wasn’t such a bad idea after all. And/or…
4) She said, “Eric, it’s me or the Timbers.” *I’m* glad she didn’t.Come to think of it, I moved back to the Rose City, went to my first Timbers match, and got married with 40 days and 40 nights of each other.
Bob, at least your better half and you know what you’re getting into. Congrats.
