Past Performance not a true indicator of Future Peformance

A date to remember
May 23, 2004. For the first and only time the Portland Timbers won a regular season game against the Vancouver Whitecaps at Swangard Stadium. After former University of Portland forward David Xausa put Vancouver up 1-0, Alan Gordon scored a brace and Hugo Alcaraz-Cuellar netted a goal to lift the Timbers to a 3-1 victory. The Timbers are 0-5-1 in Vancouver since then and 1-12-1 since 2001.
Number of shutouts
Ray Burse - 7 in 13 games
Jordan James - 1 in 3 games
Brad Knighton - 1 in 8 games
The backline needs to tighten things up a bit, I’d say.
Roster Freeze
The USL First Division roster freeze kicks into place on August 27. In previous years the Timbers have sometimes brought in a player or two from the MLS reserves right around the deadline, which used to be around the end of July. With so many transactions this year and with so few games left I don’t anticipate any changes from here on out, but looking ahead to that four game in one week stretch in early September and considering the fact that Cameron Knowles and Scot Thompson are both one yellow card away from a suspension I wouldn’t mind seeing another defensive body on the roster instead of a fourth keeper.
Yes, no, maybe

The Last Five Games
Portland: 1-1-3, 5GF, 5GA
Vancouver: 2-2-1, 8GF, 9GA
