Fun to see a good team play. A bit strange watching a match at PGE Park and feel that I was at an away match, The fans were top notch and was one of the few times I could not hear the North End.

Tremendous evening. One fine team, one team playing with some spirit, great atmosphere, lots of families and music and laughs. V. sorry Luke feels empty. Pour a beer on it and stop yer whinging.

Morelia were a lot of fun to watch, and they’re a good team. They had speed and incisiveness in the attacking third that is clearly something we’re not used to seeing in PGE Park. There’s no doubt they could have won 4-0 or 5-0 if they had really wanted to.

PGE Park turned into a home game for a visiting team, Timbers Army outnumbered 10-to-1, Timbers get played off the pitch from the word go (2-nil was a very kind scoreline).

= success?

As much I like your point #2, I would hesitate to play an aging player coming off a hamstring injury in an exhibition match. That kind of injury is too easy to reaggravate. Maybe give him a 15-minute run so he can pick up a red card after having his private parts yanked.

If healthy enough, I’d make AFG play the full 90 because ….
1) he needs to earn his way back in
2) he hates to play in these games
3) he is a back-up right now … and the reserves “should” get plenty of time tonight and Sunday

That said, I still believe in his abilities.
