You are reading the Lents Stadium project wrong. There is a great deal of support for the relocation of The Beavers but what is clearly the issue is Portland supporting a MLS franchise. Without that support the rest is just chatter. We will post the survey results as they come in however pulling my note to the community from our blog as any indication of support or lack of is short sided at best. There is a much more lively discussion going on the Ilovelents Yahoo group if you want the open discussion dialog. The Blog is used on a very limited basis in Lents.

I thought about that too, Harms, but I prefer being naive enough to think that marketing has nothing to do with player selection (see reference above to paint thinner consumption).

With the whole team available (notwithstanding injuries), including our intact backline, and with the way Guante and Little played against Charleston, and Brown back in the park, and BJ and Byron up top, it’s a foregone conclusion that the Timbers will win this game 6-nil.

Here’s a third option on how to approach the rest of the season: resign oneself to the fact that things are, in fact, too far down to crapper to reclaim, and in spite of this go to the games and give the lads all the support one can muster whilst drunk and enduring center-of-the-earth type heat, and have oneself a grande olde time.

I’m um- I’m looking forward to the tailgate and the game tomorrow?
