15-2-2, 48GF, 10GA

How bad is Cleveland?
Through four games they have mustered 21 shots total (not shots on goal, mind you). The Timbers had 24 shots in their game against the City Stars on Saturday.

If the season ended today
The Timbers would be on the outside looking in. They are in 8th place. The top 7 teams qualify for the playoffs. Things look slightly better in the normalized standings.

On a positive note
The Timbers have not conceded a goal in 297 minutes.

Three at PGE
Senior club vs Rochester on Thursday, U23s vs Spokane on Friday, and U23s vs Yakima on Saturday.

A simpler “normalization” would rank the teams by Points divided by Games Played. This focuses on how well teams are doing when they can differ by one, two or even three in games played.
